OPRAH IN TERI JON
The December Cover of O Magazine

The inside cover of Oprah Magazine’s December Holiday issue features a glowing Winfrey, everyone’s favorite daytime powerhouse, welcoming funny girl Ellen DeGeneres into her life-size gingerbread house. The Gingerbread, however, isn’t the most tempting part of the picture. Oprah’s emerald green Teri Jon dress truly has the icon exuding elegance. Singing the praises of the festive look, the Sun Sentinel declares, “Miss Winfrey is looking all curvaceous and delicious in a Teri Jon knee-length portrait collar taffeta shirt-dress.”

Winfrey’s team may have gone through seventy-five pairs of shoes for the shoot, but it took only one, glamorous, figure-flattering dress to steal the show. And Oprah isn’t the only style savant to add the Teri Jon line to her list of favorites. Katie Couric, Kimora Lee Simmons, Sherri Shepherd and Jaime Lynn Sigler all love the affordable luxury and flattering fit offered by designer Rickie Freeman.

The modern, classic styles and recession-proof prices have helped Freemen build a dedicated cult following. Over the last three decades, women have been flocking to Saks, Bloomies, Nordstrom, Neiman's stores and specialty boutiques for the line’s dependable excellence in elegant attire. In fact, a 2007 Women's Wear Daily survey of women between the ages of 21 and 59 found that Teri Jon was one of the top 10 labels women found important to wear.

And no wonder! She may be retiring in 2011, but Oprah knows that the classic elegance and affordable prices of Teri Jon’s line are truly timeless.
