I would appreciate your advice. I was invited to a cousin’s wedding in NYC. Black tie, at Tarrytown estate, Sat. night. I was looking for long gown and then tried on style 7290. It is classy and comfortable and would be fine for Canada, but how about for NY? I am busty and 56 years old, but I look younger and I don’t want to look matronly.  Also, does this dress come in other colors – like navy? Thanks in advance, Susan

I would love to help you.  The dress you mentioned is a great choice — the good news is- it also comes in navy. In general, I find that Navy, is an appealing, yet safe, alternative to black. The navy dress, style number 29090, has a sparkle bodice that makes it a bit more formal than a basic black dress.   In addition, the shorter length will certainly help you avoid any “matronly” concerns!
