CHICAGO, IL August 12, 2011 – As a wedding quickly approaches, life is often a chaotic whirlwind. With so many details to plan, the perfect outfit for a rehearsal dinner is often the last thought on a bride’s mind. Yet, for Sherri Shepherd, the task of finding the perfect rehearsal dinner dress was a decision made easy thanks to Teri Jon.
At the rehearsal dinner, Shepherd was all smiles with her then fiancé Lamar Sally wearing a gorgeous cream dress with heather gray flower details . This printed taffeta dress created by Teri Jon was an absolutely perfect fit for the event giving Sherri Shepherd an elegant and put together look. The accent on the waste, a key look in Teri Jon’s collection, created an extremely figure-flattering silhouette on Shepherd.
In the dress, she appeared to be completely glowing and at ease, looking forward to her upcoming nuptials on August 13. Congratulations to the happy couple on your recent marriage! May you have a lifetime of happiness and of course, continue your incredible fashion sense for many years to come.
Who doesn’t love charity, animals, fashion, and cocktails?
We certainly thought it was the perfect combination, as Teri Jon teamed up with an array of world-famous fashion designers and Animalfair.com for the 11th Paws for Style event. Today Show’s Natalie Morales, TV personality Henry Weinreich Roth, and the Real Housewives of NYC drank Puptails, and enjoyed a Hill’s Science Diet sponsored buffet, littered with puppy treats, keeping all the dogs svelte so they would fit in their doggie duds.
We created a one-of-a-kind adorable polka dot dress and jacket combo for Countess Luann of Real Housewives of NYC, and a matching outfit for Toby, a Humane Society dog hunting for a loving home – and found one fit for a king (or Count). Special kudos goes out to the Countess for adopting Toby!
Bravo will be airing the event later this summer- but until that point- here is a little footage from the event. Click here to watch.
April 29, 2011 has come and gone, and the royal wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William has defied all expectations! While gaining access to that guest-list was no easy feat, it was only the first challenge in attending this royal wedding. The whole world was going to watch what all of the guests were wearing to partake in the greatest fashion affair of the century. What would I wear if I were attending?
A chance of a lifetime to wine and dine with the British royal family, this wedding would also be broadcast live for the world to see. With an official blog and an iPhone app designed specifically for pictures of royal weddings, the pictures from this wedding would be on display for eternity. I expected some guests to wear dresses but others to remain slightly more conservative with suits similar to the picture below.
The neckline beading on this suit jacket above gives off an appropriate classy look, perfect for this occasion! pair this suit with a big brimmed hat, and a great pair of pumps for a final touch.
Others may choose to wear a dress. Some will be seen in a simple, classy black dress, or lean towards a more extravagant dress that will stand out in the crowd. The taffeta ruffled cocktail dress by Teri Jon pictured is a prefect to wear if your looking to be “noticed”. The bright color is appropriate yet gives off some flavor. If you are looking for a more subtle look, our classic black dress with lace detail is a perfect option. This will be a fashion affair for all!
My top choice of dresses for the royal wedding would be the Satin Printed Cocktail Dress by Teri Jon. Vibrant strokes of greens, blues, and purples combine to make an elaborate floral pattern that is perfect for this springtime affair.
This dress has a little bit of flare so you don’t get lost in the crowd. Accented with a jeweled belt, this dress creates the perfect hourglass shape and is extremely flattering to every body type. The modest neckline and skirt-length are also perfect for the service at Westminster Abbey! Wearing this elegant dress, I knew I would be ready to meet the royal family!
On the cutting edge of fashion with some of today’s hottest up and coming designers lies Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, which took place last week. It has been most recently used as a platform to discover, counsel, encourage, support and promote new, young, international designers as well as celebrate and re-confirm some of the more major and most established names in the industry.
While each designer brings their own style and feel to the cauldron of creativity brewing over the 4-day event, there is a common thread or trend that weaves us into the most up-to-date styles for the season ahead. Refreshing, modern, embellished and distinct collection pieces marched themselves through runway after runway to claim the throne on the hot list of who’s who designers.
This stunning white dress from the Frida Weyer collection features a soft white flower that consumes the entire dress.
Ruffles, sequins embellishments, metallics and leathers made up not only some of the most distinctive pieces on the cat-walk but are also some of the signature features of this seasons Teri Jon and sportswear collections.
This teal dress takes the concept of a fabric flower and scales it down.

The Webutante Ball is when the movers and shakers behind New York City’s Silicon Alley all gather in the name of Internet Week to strut their stuff behind step and repeats and open bars; all in the name of Web 2.0.
Social media consultant and maven Leora Israel looked absolutely stunning in this taffeta Teri Jon dress complete with a dramatic, plunging neckline. Check her out, far left:
Women’s Wear Daily, the industry’s fashion bible, featured an amazing article on the new look of Teri Jon Sportswear.
It highlights Teri Jon designer Rickie Freeman’s perspective on how the brand has evolved since its start in 1984—from a buttoned up conservative suit line to today’s more modern and contemporary designs. It gives readers a sneak peek at some of the edgy offerings from the Fall 2010 line. Check it out!
Last week on “The View,” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck boldly declared her love for Teri Jon on the air while looking gorgeous in a spring-ready, hot-pink Teri Jon taffeta blouse complete with unique shoulder detail.
The dazzling top has a pleated front, intricately folded short sleeves, a cinched in waist and a simple neckline. The multi-functional piece could be dressed down for a night out on the town, or dressed up and paired with a ruched taffeta skirt, as modeled on our website.
