Comfort Is Key
You shouldn’t have to pull or tug on your shapewear. If you find yourself pulling constantly at a piece of shapewear, consider trying a different size. All brands run differently, so try getting measured or measuring yourself before selecting a size. Don’t be afraid to go up a size, you want to find something that is smoothing and comfortable, not something that makes it hard to breath!
No One’s Body Is Even From The Top Down
No one is perfectly symmetrical from the bust to the knee, so don’t be afraid to try two shapewear pieces, such as a bra and high waist shaping short rather than a full body shaper. That way you can size each piece perfectly to your body.
There Are So Many Silhouette Options
Don’t feel like you are tied to a specific silhouette because that is what you’ve seen in magazines. Try different shapes and figure out what is most comfortable for you. If you don’t love wearing a thong, then try a shaping short. If you prefer a brief cut, there are options for that as well. The goal is to make you and the dress look great, but most important is that you are comfortable to dance the night away without worrying out your shapewear slipping or riding up.
