The beginning of a new decade means a fresh new start full of challenges, hope and many changes. Pantone has announced their 2020 Color of the Year is 19-4052 “Classic Blue” , a deep blue shade that is suiting to the times as it is a color that instills calmness and stability. This classic deep tone reminds us to stay confident and highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation.
This is not the first time pantone selects a serene blue shade ahead of a fresh new start, the color of the year in 1999 was the very famous cerulean. The shade became worldly known due to its mention in the fashion film “The Devil wears Prada”, where Meryl Streep’s character “Miranda Priestly” does a monologue surrounding the color and how it inspired global trends.
It should not be of any shock that Pantone once again selected a calm blue tone for what is ahead in the decade.
