Q: Can I snack?

A: Yes, snacking is always allowed on F-Factor, just focus on foods that naturally contain sugar. That way you get energy without the crash of processed sugar. Great options include greek yogurt with fruit or an apple with almonds.  

Q: Can I have wine? Preparing for a wedding can be stressful.

A: Stress increases cortisol and excess cortisol can cause you to gain weight, especially around the middle section. If having a glass of wine reduces stress, they go ahead and enjoy that glass!

Q: Should I order a size smaller dress if I’m planning on losing weight before the wedding?

A: No! Always buy a dress in your current size. You can always take your dress to a tailor to be taken in if you do happen to lose weight. The last thing you want is the added stress and pressure of trying to fit into a dress that is too small.

Q: When should I start my diet?

A: It is never too early or late to start feeling your best. That being said, don’t focus on the number on the scale or a certain dress size, instead focus on feeling your best, whatever that means to you!

Q: What is an easy, healthy breakfast I can have on the day of a big event?

A: I always recommend a smoothie. It’s easy and you can pack it with nutrients. Try making a smoothie with pineapple, which contains bromine, an enzyme that has great anti inflammatory and digestive properties.

Q: Can I have sweets?

A: Absolutely! We have that we call a three bite rule which essentially means you can have three bites of an indulgent dessert. That way you get to enjoy the dessert without feeling like you’ve over consumed. You can also make healthier desserts, such as our biscotti.
