Pantone’s color wheel for Spring 2017 was spectacular, so we decided that we would turn to Pantone for inspiration looking ahead into our upcoming Fall 2017 season. Feel free to use these new takes on traditionally warm fall colors  for outfit inspiration!

Marina

Featured in a pallette otherwise focused on warm, deeper shades, Marina provides us with a stark contrast, with a light and cool tone that stands out among the traditional colors of fall. Marina makes us think of the clear blue skies that are distinctively bright against the deep, earthy colors of changing leaves in this season of transition. Not only does Marina stand out, but it also works to compliment other neutral tones.

Whether you sport an entirely blue outfit or you opt for just a touch of color, Marina is sure to set a bright, cheerful tone right along the lines of what you want to be putting out on your special occasion. As a plus, this color brings out the beauty in most hair colors.

We recommend pairing this color with white, red, gray, or ivory. To accent a Marina dress, choose gold, silver or gunmetal accessories and jewelry.

Navy Peony

Whether you sport an entirely blue outfit or you opt for just a touch of color, Marina is sure to set a bright, cheerful tone right along the lines of what you want to be putting out on your special occasion. As a plus, this color brings out the beauty in most hair colors.

Navy, always a great neutral alternative to timeless black, shows up as a prominent theme in the near future according to Pantone’s color predictions. However, while we’re all familiar with classic navy, Navy Peony is slightly deeper and surprisingly more vibrant. Pull of this color in a classic silhouette or throw in a modern twist, Navy Peony is neutral, yet stunning on its own, and is always flattering.

Whether you wear a navy dress or accessorize otherwise with this color, you will surely turn heads. Pair with silver jewelry for a very put-together feel.

Neutral Gray

Neutral Gray looks absolutely stunning in wedding photos as it provides a great contrast against all types of background scenery. Again, this is a color you can sport during daytime events as well as evening occasions.

This gray can be taken to a new level completely when worn just by itself in a monochrome, head-to-toe look. However, as a neutral, it works well with a variety of other colors. Again, we are already familiar with the neutrality and endless pairing opportunities of gray, but Pantone’s take on this classic shade brings about a new sense of sophistication and boldness.

In order to keep your outfit looking sleek and polished, choose from maroon, black, or even metallic chrome shoes. Keep your bag or clutch subtle with monochrome tones, or, if the rest of your outfit is grey or black, create a pop of color with a bright red or burgundy purse.

Shades of Red

We even recommend going with a red for a pop of color within your outfit, be it shoes, purse, or red jewelry. From bright red to burgundy, red will ensure that you stand out from the crowd in an amazing way.

This season we look forward to seeing all sorts of different shades of red. Red is a trending color, but playing with the specific shade allows for originality – although red is anything but boring! Red can look absolutely amazing in a full dress, but it can also look beautiful within a pattern.

Bright reds happen to look fabulous with nude heels. Silver and metallic accessories never fail to complement any shade of red, and create a color combination that can look beautiful for either daytime or evening occasions.
